Even if I was selling iPhone screen replacement, I have to say this is a very good process.

WELP there goes my phone. In my case, the screen I bought was not the correct one. Everything was fine until 4:12. The cables were arranged a bit different so I plugged them in a different order. First cable caused a short, becuase it wasn't meant to go there. I plugged them in the correct way, but the cables had to be twisted in such a way that the phone wouldn't close. But too late anyways time for a new phone. GOOD LUCK!

I changed my battery and screen and my phone still won’t turn on? (New screen new Battery) I did everything correctly. Any suggestions on other type of issues that could be causing the phone not to turn on? Please and thanks!

Success! Thanks. I had no shorting problems, but suggest you disconnect the battery anyway, because — why not? Actually, you should probably change the battery anyway while you're inside the phone. Someone below said to avoid using metal tweezers and I agree. You can do everything with the plastic tools.

Doh, I should have checked that toolkit more thoroughly, I assumed the tweezers you were using were a part of it! Lol, gotta go grab me some.

Great video. Although I had to watch a couple other videos to figure out how to assemble a few parts more rightly, this was my lead video. After I was done with the assemblage, the phone turned on but the screen was black. I simply pressed down the home+power button for a few seconds and that resolved it. Thank you!!!.
To who may find this helpful: prior to fixing my screen, my home/touch id stopped working following a phone drop on a concrete floor which left my screen almost completely shattered. Hence, while detaching the home/touch id from the previous screen to the new screen, I cleaned the front part and edges of the golden coil with 68% alcohol and my home/touch id got back in full performance thereafter. I am not sure what the correlation between a damaged screen and a nonfunctional home/touch id button is, neither do I know if there is a correlation at all, but this is simply what worked for me.
